the 21st. of March, I have the honour to transmit the enclosed copy \of a Petition addressed to the General Officer Commanding by August Bach praying for the release of himself and of his son, together with copy of an extract from a letter to me from the General

Officer Commanding, of the 4th. of Harch and of a letter found

among Mr. Bach's effacts.
